PREMIUM ROBOTICS GMBH
Premium Robotics GMBH was founded to automate heavy picking, depalletizing and repalletizing tasks in warehouses. The team consists of experienced automation experts from the fields of robotics, software, gripping technology, image processing and control technology. In the immediate vicinity of the Fraunhofer Institutes and the University of Stuttgart, we are a company focused on growth. To achieve our goal, we have developed various robots that use AI-supported image processing software and patented gripper technology to cope with the variety of goods in logistics.
The management
The company is managed by Dr. Andreas Wolf and Dipl.-Ing. Steffen Mayer, who have been managing directors of robomotion GmbH for many years. Mr. Mayer concentrates on development and technology. Dr. Wolf concentrates on marketing, business development and personnel recruitment. Together with their team, they were able to overcome major technical hurdles in the first few years and sell a system to Lidl. The strategic direction of the company is set by the management with the help of an external advisory board, which is at home in the world of logistics and mechanical engineering.
The team
The interdisciplinary team at PREMIUM ROBOTICS is made up of engineers from various disciplines. The focus is on software development and the implementation of the core technology in various practical applications. Many of our engineers have been with us since the start in 2017 and are responsible for the further development of the gripper and image processing. This has enabled self-learning methods and artificial intelligence to be incorporated into the processes in recent years.
Infrastructure
The good public transport connections and the location close to the University of Stuttgart enable an exchange with the institutes. Our own robotics laboratory and the shared use of our parent company robomotion's workshop also offer the opportunity to quickly put ideas into practice.
Our membership of the ARENA 2036 research campus enables us to test AMR and AGV material flow connections to our mobile robot fleet.
